Investing Made Easy

Investing is a very lucrative business but unfortunately a lot of rookie investors come into investing through the wrong channels and as a result exit early from investing. The problem lies not in the investment arena but in the people known as money managers, brokers, agents, etc. Let me explain.

Investing in stocks, commodities and bonds as a passive business is still in its infancy for the normal typical middle class family especially outside the United States. Here is the typical route a new investor takes to enter the investment world. Lets call our rookie Tom.

Tom is in his bank one day and gets approached by either the clerk or manager. It has already been seen that Tom has a healthy bank balance. Tom is asked if he would be interested in growing his money. Tom obviously says yes and before he knows it, he has signed up for an investment package in which the profit potential is large and of course his base funds are not as risk. Unfortunately with an investment like this, Tom has ultimately lost control.

Basically what the bank do is invest Tom's money for themselves, make their money and give him back his capital plus something if Tom is lucky after five to 10 years. What a waste when you consider the probable inflation that existed in those years. In reality Tom may have lost money when you consider lost purchasing power of the currency invested.

Here is what a professional investor does. A professional investor may spend six months of the year on airplanes researching and scrutinizing companies in different niches. It is he that does the due diligence, not his bank nor his broker but him. In the world of investing, this saying is more paramount than ever “Do not trust anybody when money is concerned”.

Now that you have an idea of how a professional investor goes about his business, how do you become one yourself?. Initially it is very difficult as probably you have a full time job with maybe a family and basically do not have the time to be trotting across the globe researching start up companies. Therefore it is imperative you seek out the right mentor who will guide your investments. Success in investing is all about modeling the experts. Now to do this and to get some of their time, you will have to invest some money.

No professional is going to entertain you for nothing except the banks but then again, you probably know by now that they are novices at this game. Get Mentored by a successful investor and pay for the mentoring. Its the only way to make it through the investing minefields in the twenty first century.
